BLACK BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL NETWORK
The Black Business Professional Network is an online and event based membership organization designed to encourage reciprocal support, the exchange of ideas and the sharing of experiences. The organization intends to strengthen business and economic opportunities between members locally, nationally and globally. It will collect and disseminate information, education and knowledge that support Black business and its engagement with the community at large. They are located on the Sun Coast of Florida.
Their aim is to ensure the business climate is focused on providing opportunities for Black businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals to move forward as leaders in both business and community.
They exist to improve the level of inclusion, the meaningful involvement of Black business leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals in the economic engines that drive the communities in which they live.
MISSION: To encourage the reciprocal support, the exchange of ideas, and sharing of experiences to strengthen business and economic opportunities for our Black business community.
VISION: To be the premiere source of information, education, and knowledge that supports Black business success on the Sun Coast of Florida.
The Black Business Professional Network asked the Anexio New Media Team to design both the web site and the logo. The design was to convey professionalism, integrity and a sense community, with a clean, bright and inviting "look and feel." They required a professional, easy to manage web site to help promote their organization and reflect their branding. This is currently a site in progress.
Scalability was top-most in our minds as we designed and built the site. Its primary navigation system can accommodate the addition of more menu items, and submenus can be easily added as new pages are built.
Anexio streamlined the user experience, offering a clean and concise layout paired with compelling photographic imagery. To keep the home page fresh we are randomly rotating the top photograph so that visitors will be welcomed with a different picture each time they return.
In addition, the BBPN requested that it be given as much editorial control over the website as possible. Anexio delivered content management tools, training and guidelines which enable the organization to easily build, maintain and administer their website themselves.
